Do I have to change my phone number? +
Never. Your existing number stays exactly as it is. Your customers dial the same number they always have. We set up a CrewBox number, and you forward unanswered calls to it through your carrier — a 5-minute process. We'll walk you through it step by step.
Will customers know they're talking to an AI? +
Not unless you tell them. The Receptionist answers using your business name in a natural, professional voice. If a caller directly asks "am I talking to a real person?", the agent says "I'm the front desk for [Your Business]" — which is true. CrewBox is your front desk.
What happens if there's an emergency call? +
The Receptionist is trained to recognize emergency keywords (no heat, water flooding, gas smell, etc.) and transfer the call to your cell phone instantly. You set the transfer rules during setup — as specific or broad as you want.
How does the free trial work? +

How do contractor payments work? +
CrewBox connects to Stripe. When the Collector agent sends an invoice, it includes a payment link. Customers pay by card, ACH, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The money goes directly to the contractor's bank account within 1–2 business days. CrewBox never holds contractor money.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes. Cancel any time from your dashboard settings — no notice required, no cancellation fees. If you cancel mid-month, your access continues through the end of the billing period. Your data is exportable at any time.
